How do Library Payment Centers Work?

All functions are touch screen menu driven. The buttons displayed are configurable according to your policy and what you would like your LPC to accomplish. For example, if you do not want Get A Copy Card as an option you can easily remove that button from the interface.

Touch Screen Menu Options

Deposit to My Account - allows anyone to add money to their SAM account, patrons and visitors alike, for print/copy or other payments. Bills and coins are accepted in the money handler and change return if necessary.

Change from My Account - allows anyone to cash-out their SAM Account consistent with your policy.

Create A Visitor Card - allows a library guess to obtain a visitor card. Policies for visitors can be set within SAM Administrator interface.

Get A Copy Card - allows patrons to purchase copy cards for use in copy controlled devices.

Fine Payment - allows the user to pay a fine or can be configured for any other purchase.

When a transaction is complete, the LPC prints a receipt with complete transaction details.

Library Payment Center Reports

Library Payment Centers come with a complete set of financial reports. The reports cover all aspects of how money is being spent at the Library Payment Center as well as how much money is in the machine at any given time.

Library Payment Center Specifications

The Library Payment Center requires an IP Address (Static or DHCP) and communicates with the server across your network or over the Internet. The facility must provide a 10mbs-comaptible RJ45 network connection and standard 20amp, 120v 3-pronged outlet within 8 feet of the device locations. The Library Payment Center is equipped with its own internal surge protector.
